New Short Story

Mark Morris has a keen eye for all things horror, and has elevated the genre in recent years, not only with his own work, but with three amazing anthologies: The Spectral Book of Horror Stories (in which my short story “Outside Heavenly” first appeared), The 2nd Spectral Book of Horror Stories, and New Fears. Mark is dedicated and discerning, and has worked with some of the biggest names in horror. So I’m beyond thrilled that my short story, “The Typewriter,” will be published in Mark’s latest anthology, New Fears 2.

As you’d expect, the lineup is stellar, and I’m delighted to share the pages with Paul Tremblay, Tim Lebbon, Gemma Files, Catriona Ward,  Stephen Volk, and Benjamin Percy—to name but a few. Here’s the lowdown from the publisher, and the full table of contents:

An electrifying anthology of new horror stories by award-winning masters of the genre.

The horror genre’s greatest living practitioners drag our darkest fears kicking and screaming into the light in this second collection of brand-new tales of terror. Numinous, surreal and gut wrenching, New Fears 2 is a vibrant collection showcasing the very best fiction modern horror has to offer.
