Okay, so it’s not exactly a rock star tour, complete with groupies and hard drugs. There will be alcohol, and there will be music … but the closest I’ll get to contact with a sexy redhead will be a bear-hug from James A. Moore. But hey, you take what you can get, right?
I’m referring to my upcoming “mini-tour” (’tis a very grand phrase) of New England—or a small portion of New England, at least. It begins July 17 at the Barnes & Noble in Framingham, MA, where I’ll be signing copies of 21ST CENTURY DEAD alongside its esteemed editor, Christopher Golden, and fellow contributors Caitlin Kittredge, Thomas Sniegoski, and John McIlveen. It’s a launch party, don’t ya know! So come one, come all. Details of the event can be found HERE.
The following evening, July 18, I’ll be attending the NEW ENGLAND AUTHORS EXPO at Danvers Yacht Club, where I’ll have copies of WESTLAKE SOUL available for purchase. I’ll sign whatever else you bring me, of course. Napkins, beer bottles, babies … it’s all good. Christopher Golden and John McIlveen will be with me, so I’m sure there’ll be some 21ST CENTURY DEAD action going down, too.
From there it’s on to Rhode Island and NECON 32 (July 19-22), which is becoming something of an annual event for me. There’ll be panels and signings, and maybe some rock and roll, too (or as much drunken rock and roll as I can kick out of my guitar). If you’re lucky, you may even catch the musical stylings of John Skipp and F. Paul Wilson (who really can play guitar), and no doubt Jack Ketchum and I will sing a duet or two. This in itself will be worth the price of admission, believe me.
So, New England … ready or not, here I come.
Hope to see you at the party.
