I’m very pleased to announce that my short story, PURE, will appear in IMAGINARIUM 2012: THE BEST CANADIAN SPECULATIVE WRITING. Edited by Sandra Kasturi and Halli Villegas, IMAGINARIUM 2012 is a reprint anthology that will feature short fiction and poetry originally published by Canadian writers in the previous calendar year. Naturally, I’m honoured to have had a story selected, and to represent “the best Canadian speculative writing” alongside so many fantastic authors.

PURE was the lead story in my collection, DARK DREAMS, PALE HORSES (PS Publishing, 2011). Set in a plague-ridden South America of the not-too-distant future, it tells how the last infected citizens fight—like any good virus—to adapt and survive.

IMAGINARIUM 2012 will be published by ChiZine Publications and Tightrope Books in July. A full (and incredibly impressive) table of contents, as well as ordering information, can be found right HERE.
